Packaged Evil

…Please bear with me today – I am in “preacher” mode  – what brought this on was that my girfriend took a package of the chemical shitstorm also known  as "Sweet n Low" sweetner to our table at a cafe this Saturday. I have been holding in this speach ever since so here it comes:

If I where a PR agent I would offer a free can of ZEVIA soda to everyone on the planet. Since no one can resist free stuff the whole world would soon enough be hooked on this orange wonder.

This is healty crack, but still crack. I washed down 6 cans a day of this stuff while I was pregnant –I gave William a small taste of the soda when he was around 4 months and he went crazy and I litterally had to wrestle him to get back my glass – I kid you not. So why would I give a baby soda?  Well this is good soda, no nasty stuff in this one:
What is great about this soda (besides the taste) is that it holds no calories and is still 100% naturel – all because it is a “Stevia soda”.
OK – let’s start at the beginning: I told you about the book “Skinny bitch” right? Well, that book has a chapter called - "Sugar is the Devil", it reads:

“We all know how difficult it is to stay away from sugar. But if you don’t exorcise this demon from your diet, you will never be a Skinny Bitch….” - or a healthy one for that matter.

…OK….A very good way to do this is by replaceing your refined sugar intake with Stevia or other natural sweeteners. The book holds a ton of scientific reasons and empirical evidence as to why we should eliminate artificial sweeteners all together, so no more diet coke (liquid satan) folks.I use Stevia sweetner for hot coco, smoothies, sodastream sodas and pretty much everything else that needs to be sweet.
Stevia is quite new to Europe, but avaiable online and in some heathstores (Life if you live in norway).
There - it's out of my system...phewww

How do you take your oils?

At my age (honestly any age to the right of 20) we all know that taking care of your skin needs to be a priority and protecting it from the awful decease that is wrinkles or “fine lines” is a lifelong quest – or so it seems anyway.
Mind you – I got them! I know they are the result of all the time I laughed and cried – the life I lived so far – I am just not mature enough to appreciate them just yet. I find that adding oils (the right fatty acids) to your diet helps my skin smooth out and look alive, so yes – I am a heavy oil drinker.
Udo’s choice is my top pick as it combines a little of all the good stuff.
In the US my local organic grocery store would have a whole fridge full of lovely eatable oils – upon moving back to Europe I find I have to work a little to find the good stuff, but most health stores in both Denmark and Norway carries Udo’s choice oil.
I take my oil in the morning with a row of 70% chocolate, almonds, avocado and often a berry smoothie/juice as a side to my actual breakfast. Yes, it is a calorie heavy meal – but it is all about prioritizing right? Besides I would take a few extra pounds to a worn rough face any day.

Bye bye La Mer....

I have been a loyal La Mer slave for a couple of years. I can honestly say I have tried A LOT of different moisturizers but La Mer was the only one that did my dry sensitive skin any justice - I thought!!

Never again do I need to feel nausea when paying for my skin care regime - as we all know La Mer does not come cheap! I am happy to say that I have found a BETTER and MUCH cheaper crème - and that it is an all natural one on top of everything else.

The wonder crème has myself and the female side of my family hooked already - when going home to Denmark for Christmas I have to carry a ridicules amount of these products across the Atlantic.

The brand is Earthessentials, you can read about them HERE. I use the A-D-E creamy cleanser, the A/B Hydroxy Acid Night Rejuvenator and the Apricot Intensive night crème for both night and day - and I can honestly say my skin has never looked better - not with La Mer or anything else. These products are voodoo, I don't know what else to say :)

Here in the US you can get them in Wholefoods and PCC - but thanks to the drugstore (http://www.drugstore.com/) you can have them shipped to most European countries. I am not sure I would be moving to Norway had this not been the case :)

The hair donut

It got this little piece of foam from Ebay (seach on hair donut - Ebay seller tedhyo ships worldwide ) - $4 and you can make all sorts of amazing up-dos with it.

It is really simple - just make a ponytail, slip the foam ring on to the root of the pony and fasten your hair with pins around it....
Before you know it - you will be looking like this: :)
